I'll be in Orlando on a Thursday night next week, for business.

Will be totally at loose ends. I want to stay somewhere with some action.

I know the city in general is Disney hell, so where can I stay where I can get some drinks and meet some chicks. Preferably with optimal logistics wherein I can get them back to my hotel with a short cab ride or a walk, as I don't think I'll have a car with me that night.

My hometown. Don't even mess with the disney/attractions area. Stay in downtown Orlando. Orange Ave is the main drag and has plenty of bars/clubs. Church St intersects Orange and has a lot as well. Not up to date on what's good on Thursday, but you should be able to find a few different spots that are busy.
