Dating Spreadsheets

A while back in my Sweden thread I mentioned using a spreadsheet to keep track of the girls I was dating.

It worked better than I had thought. I would make mental notes about things that were specific to her (family, friends, schooling, travels, etc) and add them to the spreadsheet when I got home.

Most of the time the data would stop after 2 or three dates. But for any girl that I would see beyond that it became extremely valuable. I just refreshed myself on her background before heading out and there would be no confusing details for me to mix up (unless I wanted to).

Here is a guy in NYC that has some women all in a huff for doing the same thing. Some girls on Facebook tried to start a fire with this but I hosed it out pretty quickly.

Seems good to me. i admire his dedication. i kept a spreadsheet of all the girls i'd banged to see if i could find any trends. nothing really stood out, except that the closer to my own age, the longer the fling/relationship.

what the fuck was he thinking, sending it to her?

or maybe this is an epic, epic troll.

This is a good point. I knew this without using my spreadsheet of course, but it highlights the fact that I have been coming to terms with here in Sweden.

I actually like spending time with certain women outside of sex. If there is a connection I really get a kick out of the laid back flirting and teasing that comes with the territory. These women almost always tend to be my age.

Now, one thing that these spreadsheets are almost necessary for is on dating girls that are my age (32yo). These women have memories like an elephant and an eye for the details that make an accountant jealous. 20 yo girls have memories like twitter updates.

The only "spreadsheets" I deal with in dating are those on my bed.

I keep a google doc with a little bit of info but nothing like all this stuff... I do try to remember where girls live for planning for logistics, their age, contact info and other details

I have no problem with the spreadsheet, but that guy that recently got famous for his sheet was stupid for talking about it.

I don't keep a spreadsheet, but I do take notes if a chick drops something personal about herself. One of the biggest pet peeves of women online is that men don't read their profiles, or that we don't "listen" in general. If you come back at her out of the blue with something she may not even remember sharing with you, it scores major points. If you're juggling lots of balls, you may need something like a spreadsheet to keep it straight.

This is it.

I haven been told that I come across as a bit uncaring and a bit of a snob (in Sweden). I have scored major points by bringing something up that she assumed I never paid much attention to. Most of these "minor" points I just commit to memory.

I have no new dates set up for the near future. I am cooling my heels here and enjoying the fruits of my hard work over the past two months. Spreadsheet on hold.
