Secret Service Agents & Colombian Hookers?

"The police have since been directed by U.S. authorities not to comment on that night or the scandal surrounding the Secret Service, according to a senior police official in Cartagena."

If I was a police official in Cartagena I'd tell the "U.S. authorities" to pound sand.

But then I don't respond well to "authority", especially when the one doing the directing has none.

While countries consider legalizing drugs they should do the same for hoes

What a non-story...but now these secret service guys are f'd

And because of this their wives will know.

Victimless crime as far as I'm concerned

Most countries don't have to consider legalizing hoes because they are already legal, and even where they are illegal, its either not enforced or considered a joke of a crime. In Russia, the maximum penalty is 2000 rubles, which is like $63.76. In Iran and Saudi Arabia, where its illegal, they have day-marriages instead. Its legal in nearly every country in Europe and South America.

That thought had crossed my mind too at first, what were guys with as much DHV as secret service agents doing p4p? After all, these guys are just one step down from James Bond.

But then again most of them have wives and families and probably felt risk would be minimized by paying for it. Less time investment, don't have to worry about being caught at some bar. They can be discretely sent to your room.

Now that I think about it more, many very powerful men pay for it. Businessmen with high price escorts for example. Berlusconi used hookers and he's as alpha as it gets. I think for many of these guys its just a time issue. They don't have the time to be out hunting.

Exactly. Between the 11 of them, and all 11 scored, they did over 20 chicks. I don't even think the New England Patriots starting offense could go out and expect to bring home 20 chicks to bang within the course of the same night, with all 11 getting laid, without paying. Not saying it couldn't or hasn't happened, but that's a tall order.

I suspect that is exactly what happened. Guys try to refuse to pay ho's all of the time. He probably didn't think she would go to the police about it because she is a prostitute.

Think about the repercussions of this. One asshole refuses to pay. As a result he and 11 of his buddies got caught, with their careers probably ruined. Now they have extended their hunt and have caught some U.S. military personnel too.

This one dude has probably screwed over 20 guys.

First time I went to Colombia, I went with a guy who told me that he never pays the girls and thinks its weird, and that I needed to watch my money, get a safe, etc.

Turns out, as I learned a couple days before, he always pays when he's in LatAm, and it became obvious from his stories that the reason he gets robbed a lot is because he tries to cheat the girls.

$47 and now careers are ruined. I've spent almost as much as that in NYC on one-round of cocktails on a date.

CARTAGENA, Colombia - ABC News has learned exclusively that the Secret Service officials accused of misconduct in Colombia revealed their identities by boasting at a Cartagena brothel that they worked for President Obama.

Partying at the "Pley Club" Wednesday night, eleven members of the president's advance team allegedly bragged "we work for Obama" and "we're here to protect him."

The officials spent the night throwing back expensive whiskey and enlisting the services of the club's prostitutes, according to a bouncer at the club and a police source.

Sources tell ABC News several of the men agreed to pay for, and received, services from the "highest category" prostitutes available at the club, who charge upwards of $200.

The men paid for the sexual services in advance but when it came time to settle the bill, there was a dispute over the charges.

The group became belligerent and the police were called. The argument between the officials and the bouncers from the club escalated and ultimately spilled onto the street, according to several eye witness accounts.

The police have since been directed by U.S. authorities not to comment on that night or the scandal surrounding the Secret Service, according to a senior police official in Cartagena.

Prostitution is legal in Colombia and the women who work at the Pley Club live on the premises.

The club, located on a dusty street in the industrial Bosque neighborhood, just blocks from the port, has a rough exterior but boasts plush "pley rooms" inside.

The Pley Club is a well-known brothel in this historic city. Some taxi drivers in the resort-town are paid a commission for recommending the club and its prostitutes to tourists.

The officials were in Cartagena on assignment ahead of the president's visit for the Summit of the Americas last weekend.

The controversy surrounding the officials' misconduct, however, overshadowed the summit last week and local residents are questioning why the city put so many resources into the international event only to be left with a tarnished reputation.

"Cartagena didn't benefit one cent from President Obama's visit. All people remember are that the Secret Service agents slept with our prostitutes," said a man who works in the neighborhood.

Tarnished reputation? In who's eyes?

A U.S. airline is taking advantage of the hype surrounding the U.S. Secret Service and Colombian prostitutes in a spoof ad campaign.

A new advert by Spirit Airlines, which offers flights between the U.S. and Latin America, features a gaggle of bikini-clad women alongside a sunglasses-clad man, inviting customers to get "more bang for their buck" with flights to Colombia.

Different elements of the scandal, in which it was revealed that a group of Secret Service and U.S. military personnel had taken 21 prostitutes back to a Cartagena hotel last week, are mocked in the ad.

"Upfront payment required," it states, a reference to the alleged dispute over payment between one of the agents and a prostitute which is believed to have led to the scandal's discovery.

The viewer is left in no doubt as to where the airline believes the most Latin American"bang" can be found, with an invitation to visit "Cartagena and other destinations" -- an insinuation unlikely to go down well in Colombia, where there is frustration that the country is once again being portrayed by the age-old stereotypes of prostitutes and drugs.

Secret Service Assistant Director Paul Morrissey announced yesterday that three agents were leaving their jobs following preliminary investigations. One supervisor was sacked and one retired, both said to have more than 20 years experience in the service. Another more junior employee resigned, said the official.

Another eight officers are under investigation, as well as up to 12 members of the U.S. military.

U.S. investigators are in Cartagena attempting to track down the women that were taken back to the high-end Hotel Caribe, where Obama delegation was based during last week's Summit of the Americas.

Copies of their identity documents that were left with the hotel's reception are being used. Back in the U.S., the men involved will be undergoing lie detector tests as bosses try to determine exactly what happened and to what extent presidential security was compromised.

Journalist and commentator Kiri Blakeley asked in a blog post Tuesday why there are not more female Secret Service agents to counter this kind of bad behavior.

"The reason there should be more is simple: Women don't get into trouble the way men do," she wrote.

"Seriously, can you imagine a bunch of Secret Service gals going on a trip to Colombia, where they are scheduled to secure the environment for their boss, who happens to be, oh, the most powerful man in the world, and then hiring a bunch of call guys?" she asks.

In Washington and Colombia, separate U.S. government investigations are under way. The Secret Service has investigators in Colombia, and King said he has assigned four congressional investigators to the probe. The House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, led by Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., sought details of the Secret Service investigation, including the disciplinary histories of the agents involved.

In a letter to the Secret Service director, Issa and Rep. Elijah Cummings of Maryland, the committee's senior Democrat, said the agents "brought foreign nationals in contact with sensitive security information." The lawmakers have demanded that Sullivan provide them by May 1 with detailed information about the incident, including a full timeline of the events that unfolded in Colombia and assurances that none of the women involved were under the age of 18.

The Secret Service employees under investigation include members of the agency's "jump teams," which are sent to sites ahead of the president's arrival to set up security. Others involved are on counter-assault and counter-sniper teams. The majority of those involved are believed to be based in the Washington area.

Shows that guy isn't particularly bright. Posting shit like that on FB can't be good for an agents career.

I'm only surprised his FB message wasn't brought to light years ago.

Hookers Downgrade US Credit Rating
Shortchanging by Secret Service Draws Strong Rebuke

NEW YORK (The Borowitz Report) – Days after Secret Service agents shortchanged a group of prostitutes in Colombia, the international trade group representing hookers downgraded the United States’ credit rating from AAA to B.

The strong rebuke from the International Alliance of Professional Escorts came after a Secret Service agent reportedly paid one of its members $30 for an $800 service, or only 4% of the stated price.

The statement from the International Alliance of Professional Escorts said that in downgrading the United States’ credit rating it was sending a clear message that its “members should be aware that doing business with the government of the United States carries with it a significant risk.”

“We are urging our members to avoid conducting transactions with the United States and to focus on more reliable customers, like the International Monetary Fund,” the statement added.

Just hours after the announcement from the escorts’ group, the U.S. Congress passed the following resolution blasting the Secret Service for its actions: “We strongly denounce the Secret Service for consorting with prostitutes, which has traditionally been Congress’s role.”

But it was not all bad news this week for the Secret Service, which today reported a 5000% jump in enlistment.

The agency said that enlistment offices across the country have been packed with prospective agents, including House Speaker Newt Gingrich, who abruptly dropped out of the Presidential race to join.

"Seriously, can you imagine a bunch of Secret Service gals going on a trip to Colombia, where they are scheduled to secure the environment for their boss, who happens to be, oh, the most powerful man in the world, and then hiring a bunch of call guys?" she asks.

This is the biggest part of the story to me - a woman busted her colleagues. A professional victim, who had previously lodged discrimination lawsuits against the Secret Service. Initially I thought the Colombians had gone higher up the chain of American officials, or something like that - nope. And of course, she's going to get rewarded for turning her brothers-in-arms for some petty sex with whores.

Any dude worth his salt, in her position, would yell at the guys involved, maybe quietly fire them, get the whore paid, and close the book on the whole deal. If that had happened, there wouldn't be all this bad PR going around about Colombia and the US going around. But no, this woman had to tattle on the guys, and turn the whole episode into a clusterfuck of global proportions. In fact, if she had been a man, there's a good chance she'd get in trouble for the way she dealt with the situation. But she's a woman, so she'll probably be seen as 'tough' and 'courageous' for bringing embarrassment to the Secret Service. Nice job! This woman is a total snake, the sort you have to look out for when making friends and looking for people to trust. These types will turn on you at the earliest convenience, if it puts them ahead.

And a big fuck you to Kiri Blakeley. Yes, I can imagine female agents doing exactly that. Except they'd get the sex for free, from regular local men. And then if anyone criticized them for it, they'd be called misogynists for attacking "women's independence," and "promoting sexist double standards." A one night stand for a woman is at least as shameful as a man patronizing whores.

Look at the number of female prison guards who end up fucking the actal criminals. Is there any doubt women agents would be MORE of a security risk in general?

"As the entire country shakes their heads with shame (or holds their sides with laughter) over the Secret Service going a-whoring in Colombia, Sen. Susan Collins and Rep. Carolyn Maloney suggested that more women on the force could have prevented the scandal from even happening in the first place. "I can't help but wonder if there'd been more women as part of the detail if this ever would've happened." Really?! Do women co-workers slut-shame their male counterparts into better behavior? Currently, only 11 percent of the US Secret Service is female according to Maloney. We'd love to hear Maloney and Collins thoughts on Moammar Gadhafi's now-defunct Amazonian guard."

That scandal may reek of stupidity and incompetence, but that article is just stupid. As DirkJohanson says, women would be a much greater security risk, and it's not fair to shame men in general for wanting to sleep with hot women.
