For some reason I don't trust the chemicals they use in shampoo bottles. Has anyone ever read the back of the bottle. Scary shit. Silicone? No thanks.
Does anyone use an alternative? I heard of using green clay but never got around to it. I want to find an alternative.

Americans overshampoo. Shampoo robs your skin of natural oils and destroys hair cells.
Unless you need to use a medicated shampoo regularly (dandruff or dry scalp therapy), you don't need to shampoo more than once every 3 or more days.
When my hair is short, I'd go a week without washing it. I'd just rinse it with water after going to the gym.
There are lots of chemical free shampoos. Just walk down the aisle of Whole Foods or any other health food store.

A lot of people swear by no shampoo at all.
I haven't used it in about a month and have had no problems

Try a all natural shampoo with tea tree oil, makes all the difference IMO.

what about if you use products in your hair? I've been growing my hair out for a while now, and if I don't use hair products looks crazy and isn't manageable. I use shampoo to clean out the hair product, but I try to only use it every few days.

coconut hair keeps your hair looking really healthy, soft, and gives it a natural shine. take a dime sized dab of that shit, rub it in your hands so it completely dissolves, and apply it through your roots after a shower.

I use the soap bar as shampoo...its an unscented no chemical type soap bar...works good, get a lot of compliments too. Once a lady told me my hair was so nice and asked what I use. Lol.
A lot of products are useless and a waste of money. Shampoo, toilet paper, toothpaste. All wastes of money.

I use green clay internally and externally for hair care and to prevent hair loss: the only thing i can say is that green clay is the ultimate shit, you just have no idea how well it works
I drink green clay every day and I do hair clay mask twice a week

I use Revita High Performance Hair Growth Stimulating Shampoo. I started balding at the age of 16 and I'm almost 20 now and my hair is fine.
I'm using Revita conditioner by itself now and it's doing the trick.
Haven't used both at the same time but they're both great.
Best thing you can do to your hair.
