What kind of building do you live in and how does it affect your game? I have lived in mostly apartments with other friends (college and after college) and I find the roommate thing doesn't affect my game much. If they bring a girl over, I am welcoming and try to get her to bring friends over. I am thinking about moving and just wanted to know some other peoples experiences. Beta roommates I've learned are huge cock blockers and should be avoided at all costs. It's best to live with people you know before moving in and getting a place, even if it's just to save some money

Hmm ... I think there's some terminology differences here. I'd call where I live a Studio, though I could also call it an apartment. When I think "apartment," I generally think of a place I live on my own rather than with roommates.

Anyway, to answer your questions, I've generally lived alone and it's been great.

Have a house right now, but since I am gone a lot for work I'm considering doing the vacation rental thing with for extra income. Comps in the area are getting enough the mortgage would be paid with one weeks rental.

You sound like a huge cock blocker yourself. I would not want some thirsty dude trying to mack some chick I just brought home, to get her to bring friends.

When I lived with friends, the quid pro quo was not to fucking say a word to any girl a guy brings home, if he has never banged her, and to completely vanish from the scene and avoid making your presence felt. I can't think of a single way another man talking to your girl is going to help you get laid.

If you give those instructions to dudes who aren't your friends/aren't cool, they'd think you're a psychopath. But staying the hell out of the way is always the best option.

For girls you've banged already, there's a lot more lattitude.

If you have chill parents, esp. if it's just your dad, and you can make him disappear when you want him to, then living with parents probably isn't so bad.

I'm the only guy whose ticked living at home with parents o.0 I'm going to move out in late November / early December to an apartment smack dab in the middle of my city and I'm not going to be putting up with any roommates.

My primary residence in Chicago is a live-work space I picked up -- a little under 5,000 square feet over 2 floors.

It's an interesting space because I run some businesses out of the front 800 square feet, and I'm sloooooowly building out the rest of it to my liking.

When women visit, they're either stunned or they're laughing at the ridiculousness of it. Plus, I picked up the 9-year lease when the neighborhood was ghetto, now it's slowly becoming a really popular neighborhood. I'm directly across the street from one of the best locallly-sourced restaurants in Chicago with a famous chef and owners.

Most cities, as far as I know, don't zone for live-work, so it's hard to recommend to others.

Also, since I don't have a cell phone anymore, if women demand my number, I give them the number to my business and my assistant answers my calls. Can't beat that for DHV, although it can go very, very wrong.

I think a lot of people here are either college age to late thirties. I'd assume most people 25≤ no longer live with their parents and because finals aren't for a month (in my case at least) the college aged people are in a dorm or a house/apartment near their campus. If the poll was done in summer I'd expect more people to say they live with their parents.

I live in a one bedroom apartment in a great location in Bangkok. Killer setup because most Thai girls will either live at home, live in a studio, and many even live in a studio which they share with a friend (especially college students). My place has hot water (many places in BKK do not) has a balcony, kitchen, living room, couch, cable TV, two aricons, etc. Pretty standard stuff for back home, but in Bangkok a lot of these things are luxuries.

Well, the place I am living in runs 25,000 baht, or damn near $900 US. However, my friends family owns the whole building so I get it SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper. That being said, you could get a place like mine at a different BTS stop for probably 15,000, or $500 a month. My place is way more expensive than it would be at other BTS stops due to the location. 10,000 to 15,000 can get you a really decent place in Bangkok.

You can get a really decent studio for 6,000 to 8,000 out on On Nut BTS stop if you can sign a 6 month lease. On Nut is a good place to live too from what I understand, but my Jiu Jitsu gym is literally right next door to my place so that is why I live here.

No, women have friends so there's nothing wrong with asking a girl to bring them by sometime. Most of the time they do, and yes sometimes I end up with the girl because the woman has moved on from the roommate and wants something new/better. [/i]
