The Top 100 Nightclubs and Bars 2012

As mentioned this list has more to do with financials rather than quality of the experience. As such, megaclubs that concentrate on bottle service are going to be higher on the list than niche clubs that provide the very best of a certain music or theme.

As mentioned elsewhere on the forum I don't go to US nightclubs any more, too much dickwagging, badly mixed drinks and drunkeness for my purposes.

By the way, has anyone ever been to Pacha in Moscow? I went in fall 2010, and it was the single greatest visual experience of my life. All young, thin and extremely attractive girls - like supermodel quality. It was to the point where I can safely say nothing will ever surpass it in terms of quality, and most likely nothing will ever even come close. God bless face control.

Disappointing.

I was looking for places that make Olivia Munn look like a 5.

I know.

I am still looking for someone to break that list out.

THIS!

Opera and Havana Club are both Douche Bag/Attention Whore Central with terrible music, the decor at both of them is nice but other than that It's a no go but I guess you can say that for the majority of nightclubs in the USA these days...The best clubs for both ambience, layout and girls in ATL are Vanquish & Compound. Other than that I stick with Lounges and Industry Nights & Special Events (I.E. Liquor Companies sponsored Parties).

Can you drop some data on this? Eg, how do you find out about them? How do you get in? And are the girls there open if you're just a random dude, and not in the industry?

Coincidentally, I actually may get special access to these due to a change in circumstances.

You have to know the right people. They're usually by invite only. One of my boys works in that industry and I get invited to these things sometimes. If I get any extra passes I'll let you know. I recently went to a dope party for Jameson at the Vanguard in Hollywood. Drank free all night. Hotties everywhere.

You can also find things like promotional spirits tastings around town. I went to one last year for Johnny Walker. Anyone can get on those lists if they just sign up at the website.

For Alcohol Brands like Grey Goose, Ciroc, Jose Cuervo, Patron, Henessey, Tanquerey, Johnny Walker Black, etc. Usually one of those brands has a tasting in Atlanta per month. They mostly travel to major markets like ATL, NYC, Miami, Los Angeles, Dallas for these events. Each city has "Brand Ambassadors" who push these brands locally. I happen to be on the list for these parties and know some of the Brand Ambassadors in Atlanta. For many of these events you can sign up on their websites to get specifics and usually when the events pop off in your city they send you an invite for free entrance.

Atlanta has a large Hip-Hop & R&B music scene also Film is growing as well with many shows and studios being relocated here and the "Industry Nights" range from record release parties to listening parties, model calls, fashion shows which are often sponsered by liquor brands and have a guest list only which attracts the best clientele and crowd usually on the weekdays which I prefer to go out anyway.
The weekend club scene in most larger cities attracts many tourists and people from the outskirts (in nyc its called "bridge & tunnel crowd" who can only party on the weekends diluting the quality and bringing out the attention whores and douchebag crowds.

Thanks. I checked the sites of the ones you mentioned, and all I could find was a bunch of tastings held by Johnny Walker, which were clearly not parties. Is there something I'm missing, or are these events just not that open to the public?

I know there are way more brands than that, of course.

Which clubs on the list have you been to? For me:

Seacrets (Ocean City)
Love (DC)

Is there one like this out for Europe?

How is Seacrets (Ocean City)?

From a biz standpoint it is impressive they were on the list since I have to imagine they do all there biz during 3 months of the year.

Also interesting that it ranked higher than any DC, Philadelphia or Boston nightclubs.

Hahaha...secrets made the list....that place is legendary

How is Seacrets (Ocean City)?

Besides "legendary".

to be honest it's a f-ing dump...no models and definitely not worth your time...it's mainly:

-head to secrets
-drinks in plastic cups..lmaoooooooooo
-dance and pull with New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland's, DC, Nova, Philly's talent
-coordinate with whatever you pulled "to go for a walk along the beach" after secrets closes
-f-close on the beach or your hotel room

Ha, Seacrets was one of the first American clubs I have ever been to; I was an exchange student working in Ocean City, MD in 2000. My roommate was working there as a security guard and was hooking us up with free drinks and pot.
Ocean City at that time was great, tons and tons of hot young students from Europe working in the summer. Anybody with just minimum game would get laid there easily. Hell, I was an eastern European student with no money and no game at all and still got laid. I've heard about local American guys, regular blue collar folk, would bang dozens of euro hotties over the course of 3-4 months. Another roommate, a cute Czech girl, I swear her hobby was sampling out as much black dick as possible, she must have banged at least 8 dudes that summer, all black...

I'd like to see a top 100 global list instead of just US clubs. I'm really surprised that the biggest city in N. America didn't even show on the radar until #10.

There is a definitive list for the best clubs in the world and it is extremely accurate. It is done by DJ Magazine and has been done annually, along with the best ranking of Dance Music DJs in the world. The top clubs have huge nightly draws (lbiza in Summer), great DJs , good ambiance, free spirited energy. The American clubs are just too image oriented, money hungry (they revolve around bottle service and materialism). Anyhow, here is a link for it:

http://www.djmag.com/top100clubs/

Has anyone been to any of these clubs like Space in Ibiza or Green Valley in Brazil? Also, notice how the first ranked American club is way down at number 27 which is Pacha New York, the second American club is at 39 which is Mansion in Miami. Looks like Spain and England are going head up for the most and best mega clubs.

Agreed, this list is only based on financials. Take a look at the global ratings (very well done by DJ Mag) annually on my thread below !!
Its much more realistic and experience, quality, based.

Yeah... I checked a few of the top clubs descriptions from this DJ Mag list - pictures and all:

No, thanks. If "having fun" means listening to some DJ spinning tracks while crowded between a few hundred sweaty dudes, that I don't want to have fun.

K-man, it is obvious bro that you are not a clubber and probably have weak Night Game, therefore you are making a generalized statement that all clubs in the world have dudes only. This is so far from the truth, and no one will agree with this comment. Perhaps, that photo could be from gay night at a club that you randomly pulled out from the internet and make a generalization that all clubs are like this. I have been to Marquee and Encore in Vegas, Liv in Miami, Pacha and Space in Ibiza, D-Edge in Sao Paulo, and many more. They have all been Wicked and my friends and I have pulled chicks from a couple of these and gotten numbers. Please do not dissuade other forum members from going to these places just because your night game is not strong and you have become jaded from clubs in general ! If you are game, you can join me at a table at Liv or Encore with the normal 5 to 12 girls or more my buddies and I always have at places like these !!

Anyone disagreeing with a very nicheed list of DJ promoted nightclubs has weak night game? Could you possibly sound more defensive?

Ibiza is usually ridic in the summer. They always have one or more resident DJs to hold it down for the whole summer. I think David Guetta was lockdown at one venue last summer. However, you need a lot of cash to mess with Ibiza. It's not for the budget travelers.

I even know one girl who's like a 9 and this one venue was asking her to pay like $90 to get in, so you could only imagine what I would have to pay as a guy. That's how Ibiza rolls.

Sorry but these are not DJ promoted nightclubs. Please get your facts straight before you chime in on a thread that I was not addressing to you. These clubs were voted by magazine editors, with the input of the general public. And lastly, I was not defensive at all, he made a suggestion that people that go to these places hang out with a bunch of dudes which is so far from the truth.I do not wish to be associated as wanting to hang out with a bunch of dudes by going to clubs as this is a homophobic implication. Some people (including yourself ) are just not into clubs, and thats okay. They can stick to the pubs and sports bars or stay at home on a weekend night.

This is an open forum, write someone a PM if you don't want your assertions challenged.

The nightclubs on the list are DJ centric or they wouldn't be in a mag about DJs. The entire point is that it is niched and picked from pre-approved clubs, you'd never see a club playing top 40 on this kind of list even though it might be packed every night with young, tight hotties. DJ culture is one of the most snobbish, self-fellating country clubs and it frowns upon any nightly entertainment were the DJ is not the center of the show.

All right, let's not start a row here.
I am more inclined to agree with a rating based on the revenues of the clubs, because hot girls are known to flock to places where money is being spent.
A rating based on wherever the top DJs in the world play most often - hell, I don't go there to listen to some disc jockey change the tracks for me. They might as well put up a playlist on an iPod and hook it to the speakers for all I care. As long as there's bitches.
