I had the pleasure of spending a full Saturday in NYC with fellow forum member Lothario. We met up for lunch in the Village, exchanged our backgrounds a little bit and then we hit the streets.

The guy is an approach machine. It was amazing watching him open countless girls. Anything with remotely plausible logistics was fair game. I'm a little more selective with who I'll approach or open. I'm very shallow in that sense.

I wanted to breakdown and share my experience with one approach of the day. Lothario and I had spent a few minutes opening women in a clothing store. So we left and started walking towards uptown. Now Lothario professed his attraction for American(white) girls. So as we walked I spotted a girl with long blond hair sitting on a step of a building smoking. She wasn't really my type. I wouldn't have opened her if I was rolling dolo but hey I'm rolling with Lothario today and I'm open to whatever.

So Lothario is digging on her and opens her with the greatest opener of all time, "Excuse me, do you have a light?" She busts out a small baby blue lighter and hands it over. I laugh and say,"Ha, he almost bought a pair of pants that color."

Lothario starts spitting his game so I take 2nd position and aid and abed. Turns out she Brazilian with blonde hair and blue eyes and she's on break from work. She sells spa and massage packages to people on the street for a local spa. I mention that I've been there for work(DHV) and say how beautiful Brazil was. A few minutes in and she starts working us trying to sell us a massage and spa package

She handed me a brochure and she starts spitting her game. I politely declined saying I can't because I'm spending the day taking my friend from out of town around New York. So we decide to cut her loose so she can work but invite her for coffee down the street(insta-date). She declines.

So I pull out my iPhone, keypad showing(move I stole from at350zguyy) and hand it to her. "What's your number?" She miles and says, "I'll give you my number if you buy a spa package".(Beta shit test)

"I'm sorry I can't today. I'm taking my friend around New York." I give her a sad puppy dog face and say,"You're making me feel bad".(I always go for some kind of emotional connection) She laughs and punches her number into my phone. I say, "It was nice to meet you. What was your name?" ...Caroline(22 year old actress who lives mid-town).

Lothario stands up and says, "Ok it was nice to meet you ...give me a hug." She does. Then she turns to me and says, "I'm not giving YOU a hug", in a smirking half-serious tone. Then she walks away.

I apologize to Lothario for stepping on his toes with this girl. He's like no problem she was digging you more.

Point of the story ...I wasn't digging on her looks from half a block away but once we got her talking she was actually kind of a fun girl. No bitch shield. She engaged us in conversation. Her vibe was cool and playful which raised her 1 attraction point in my book. She even turned it around and tried to game us. You're not going to bang 9's all the time. There's a lot of cool 6's and 7's out there you're missing out on. Just don't chase fatties.

She had a hell of a nice Brazilian ass.

Yup, part of day gaming (or gaming in general) is being social. That means being able to talk and ramble and truly enjoying the moment with the girl.

Guys often forget this, then they have "I must do well in this set" or "I must push for the bang" in their heads that they put unnecessary pressure in their heads while fucking up their game in the process.

To get into that social state, you need to be open to talk to anyone including other guys and chicks you're not attracted to. If anything, they help you get "lubricated" before opening that hot chick.

Parlay - this reminds me of an interesting thing speakeasy mentioned a while back. Do y'all think 5's and 6's are actually harder to talk to and fuck than better looking girls? This should just be more encouragement for everyone to not be scared to open up girls "above them".

Heh, maybe I should run through a gauntlet at night just to warm up for next-day game. If I can remember what I did the night before, or can stay awake long enough, day game should seem like shooting fish in a barrel.

Good story with a good message. You never really know what you're going to get when you talk to a girl. I think a common thing newbies experience is once they feel they've learned a bit of game they feel its enough and stop approaching as much. At least from my personal experience. At the start of this school year I was fresh off summer break ready to game like there was tomorrow. I spat my words at every girl I came across and it was successful. I got too confident and stopped doing as many approaches, became more selective. I still got laid, but I would get more upset if the interaction didn't go my way. Like other members have said before, one of the most important things when you're first starting out is getting your ramble on with anyone and everyone, it'll help you get in a more sociable mood and will give you good practice. You don't want to freeze up when you see your perfect girl walking down the street, that shit should flow naturally. Like I've said before: its better to have skills and not need them than need skills and not have them. Treat approaching anyone as homework, your final exam is approaching the girls you find extremely attractive. Your bachelors is when you get a bunch of bangs out of that and your PHD is when you're both confident and able to run game on anyone you see, only then should you be more selective.

NYC is king for street game and you're right about the shields going up as the sun goes down. Night game is a little bit rough there, but many girls are there to be had. Logistics logistics logistics with night game.

When I got a chance to meet up with el mech, He opens every girl that is mildly attractive to get his game going. I think he pulled like 15 numbers and set up at least a date or two out of it. I don't know if you do that every time you're out mech, or it was just to show me how it's done, but either way it was an amazing experience to watch.

This place on a Friday or Sat. Why? It's right across the street form the state fairgrounds and down the street from the Casino.

I stay here sometimes.
You can run like 50 types or game from here and you never know who will be staying there. I believe you could pull in the lobby even though there's no bar. Last time there was some fashion/clothing event. Bitches everywhere. They have a shuttle to the casino so you can get trashed and bounce bitches back and forth. The wing house is next door as well.
