No one likes shit tests, but flirting, which is definitely related, is a joy when done correctly. Obviously, one wants it to move onto other things, but the journey itself is very enjoyable. She tests, you counter it by usually playfully teasing her.

However, just as a guy needs to know the difference between playfully teasing and being an asshole, she needs to know the difference between testing and being a bitch. This is something that American and Canadian women are getting really bad at. Are there countries where the women are good at it?

The other word that I would use is Banter. She tests you, you respond to her by teasing her or calling her out on it. She keeps testing you, you keep making fun of her. It doesn't feel like a confrontation - it feels like a dance.

I have to admit that it is hard for me to put into words. The best example that I've ever seen put on film is, weirdly enough, in the movie The Adjustment Bureau with Matt Damon. The scenes between him and the female lead captured the idea perfectly. These are obviously very idealized, but I've had similar experiences if not quite so well scripted.

I haven't had enough variety to speak with any authority, but the French have been the best in my experience. The French will flirt even when they haven't the least intention of doing anything with you. They look at you with their eyes, in a way than if an American girl did, you'd think she was dazzled by you. If she elects to touch you, it will be in a way like that makes you feel like her beloved. She could be sitting next to her husband, and she will flirt shamelessly with you. Because the flirting is innocent, natural. Not sure if these are representative, or only confined to the sweet ones. But something I've encountered.

I recall reading somewhere an account comparing a Frenchman's and an American's reception in the other's country. The Frenchman comes to America, and upon finding no woman who will readily flirt with him, thinks American women don't like him, hell, they don't want to have sex with anyone. The American, meanwhile, thinks every woman he meets is completely enamored of him, and is baffled when they mostly rebuff his attempts at sex, after delightfully flirting with him.

Problem though is she could be a great flirt in her English, but not really know how to do it in English, since flirting is mostly word play. So there is a bias in that you won't think a girl is a good flirt unless you are both speaking in a language she's fluent in.

Brazil for sure, especially if you know some portuguese. That is why being with attractive brazilian girls, from minas gerais or the northeast is always interesting. They know how to flirt better than cariocas or paulistas. They arent intellectually stimulating, but who gives a damn, you can spend hours with them and you still want to keep on going hours and hours.

This is a thing I used to call on Hawaiian girls for.

It was depressing how they, aside from all the attitude, were completely oblivious to flirting. The exception was Hawaiian girls of Philippino decent, who could handle a back and forth flirt somewhat.

I vividly recall this (americanized) Hawaiian-Japanese girl I worked on one night. She was cute, but a brick wall to talk to, full of attitude. After much talk, bitchiness, her insinuating I should buy her booze to keep talking to her, I call her on not being able to flirt.

"You don't know how to flirt".

She, giving me atittude and a horrid snobbish face says:

"I don't need to flirt, guys come and talk to me anyway".

That kills it. Those girls were sick to the core.



Edit: just to add to what the guys were saying. By the end of my trip I hooked up with two cute French girls, and it felt like heaven. I was completely taken away by their charm, humor and caring vibe. Some of the few high moments I had on my trip.

granted I haven't been to Australia but I found the Aussie girls really flirtatious and outgoing while in Thailand. Very approachable and easy to open, can be kinda loud and dude like but it does make the flirting process easier and being cocky fun with them plays. They also give you enough indication that they're attracted that you're not having to cold approach.

Have to go to France from the sounds of this thread, It's not the same but been to montreal countless times and they're french-lite, great city with beautiful women so if they're any indication France should be a great stop.

fair enough..that's why I was clear about the not having been yet but I've heard on this forum as well as elsewhere the girls are slutty, that was my experience abroad as well, I imagine they're far more open away from home but... it's hard to be slutty if you're not at least receptive to a little flirting. I'll have to visit one day soon to get the real deal experience.
