Buying Palladium?

Curious to see your guys take on whether or not Palladium is a buy or sell with hopefully *knock on wood* an upcoming Euro Debt deal and that should send Gold rising I presume Palladium rising as well. Your Thoughts?

I stick with gold and silver because people know what it is. Palladium is virtually useless in a barter situation, because you have to tell people what palladium is.

I buy silver.

A member wrote a good post in regards to picking up precious metals at a discount through estate sales.

I'm going to look into that to pick up gold.

Platinum and Palladium are industrial metals, besides their value as a wealth storage device. Most people use the metals everyday in their cars, they are in catalytic converters. Platinum and Palladium have been trading at historical lows in comparison to gold and there are great opportunities across the sector. There are lots of bargains, particularly in some of the exploration stocks. Another issue is that there are not a lot of new deposits coming online, so once the global economy picks up there will be a supply crunch. I am very bullish on the metals. A spread position across the sector is what I try for, with a spectrum of high to medium producers and higher risk exploration stocks.
