And how different is the climate in 2015 compared to 2006? It's only 9 years ago but the climate for gay rights and gay SJW-ism has gotten exponentially better since then.
Again, I am one of those who doesn't believe that most A-list actors are gay rumors.
My point was that Renner might not find action roles anymore but by no means would his career be destroyed if he actually did come out as gay. He may not get the same roles anymore but he would still be finding decent work. And let me clarify one more point, coming out may or may not increase his ability to get work but it would definitely make him more celebrated in the media and raise his profile as a celebrity. That's for sure.
There's only downside for him coming out, little upside. His dream of becoming an A-List actor (he's not there yet IMHO) would be cast aside since he wouldn't get the juiciest roles, i.e., a hunk for the female audience or the bad ass for the male audience. He would also lose out on a lot of money.
Do you think Clooney would've done as well if he had come out 20 years ago? 10 years ago? Even 5 years ago? Fuck no. He's stilled idolized by so many women and men as an Alpha stud and will still garner plenty of leading roles.
Renner clearly married this woman to shroud his gayness. He even impregnated her, but I think a paternity test is now in order given this roommate fiasco BS. Dude is definitely not coming out of the closet anytime soon because he wants to become the next Clooney/Willis/Schwarzenegger/Pitt.
Don't underestimate someone who wants to become King of the Heap. Especially if the Heap is Hollywood.
You seem pretty convinced that he's gay...I don't think he is and don't really care either way.
And obviously Clooney or another gay actor wouldn't have done as well if they came out 20 years ago vs. now in 2015 when we are at peak gay SJW-ism.
