I don't think I (or any American lawyers on here) can give you any useful hints if you're in Canada. Not sure how it works up there.

But this much I know:

1) Do not contact her or anyone associated with her
2) Do not make any statements to anyone about your involvement with her
3) Retain a lawyer and ask him about what else you should do
