I don't even think they accomplished that. Ferriss's whole point was work smarter not harder. There's nothing smart or effortless about letting a german shephard jackhammer you in front of an audience of oil rich arab slavemasters. This sort of debasement has a psychological toll. Even if you're a hardened money hungry sociopath there will always be a lingering shadow there concerning self worth.
1 million is also nothing to live off of. She's living in the U.S. still and is accustomed to the good life. She will blow it. Even if she invested correctly (highly doubtful) and withdrew 3-4% that'd only be around $3k a month. $3k a month is chump change in any large U.S. city.
