I am happy to vote on any binding referenda however. I'm also OK with voting in 'party list' style democracies, since that gets much closer to actually influencing legislation. Voting in representative democracies is almost completely pointless.
You could just put in your ballot blank. It's not illegal not to vote, only to not rock up to the polling booth. Surprisingly when you force people to turn up, almost everyone submits an eligible vote anyway.
