Well, I happen to know a couple of these dudes. One of them manages a commercial real estate investment trust for a living so I suppose you could say he learned finance. Both he and his wife working together can barely keep on top of all the paperwork for their personal finances and investments. For example, just the monthly and quarterly account statements for their brokerage and bank accounts cover the entire dining room table. It is absolutely insane. I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes. Good luck keeping tabs on all that without a wife that really has her shit together.
