I think you still need a sleep mask to help with sleep. Most rooms have light leaking, or electronic lights which affect sleep quality. A good sleep mask will block out all light, although somehow the morning light can still wake you up in the morning. Perhaps there are light sensor in the skin's nerves that can still pick out when the morning happens.
