I am not sure if there is a thread related to this. I didn’t come across it in a search.
The majority of my traveling now is done solo. I have had good experience meeting other forum members, but there is not thing like a good local wing in the country that you are in. Two countries in particular that I have made good male friendships/wings: Colombia and Brazil.
I also have also spent a lot of time in these countries, providing me with the opportunity to make friends. In my experience, the friends I have made helped me with social validation and the development of a social circle. Some of these friends went out of their way to make sure I was having a good time and would also introduce me to girls. My friendships with them made it possible to open doors to girls in social circles that I would never have been able to approach solo in a bar or restaurant for example. There didn’t seem to be a jealousy factor or resentment with me pursuing “their women”. From their end, I think they also received social proof with hanging out with a cool and worldly foreigner.
Conversely, my time in Poland taught me that there are Polish guys who harbor resentment towards foreigners for dating “their women”. I remember receiving dirty looks quite frequently from these guys when with a polish woman. I was cockblocked a few times in clubs in Wroclaw. One in particular cost me a chance with a knockout 18 year old. I was with another forum member and his girl. He and I both agreed that there was little I could have done in this particular situation.
A side note….Poland and Ukraine are countries where I saw locals running direct day game on several occasions. I haven’t seen a concerted effort in other countries besides the US. I shouldn’t be surprised I saw it in Wroclaw because it must be the Mecca of PUAs. Romania also seems to have a PUA community but their game seemed more sophisticated than the Polish and Ukrainian game I observed.
