I find Heartiste's idea intriguing. You have to admit that the rest of the world is not much like this forum. Visit the comment sections of most major bloggers (RoK included) and you'll see a staggering amount of "weird" comments from people who obviously haven't approached anyone in a decade, but live vicariously through them. We shouldn't assume that things are the same as here everywhere.
