- They cook well. Japanese food, western food - you name it, they will cook it.
- They are charming in an understated feminine way. You really feel like a man around a J-girl. Not surprising when you consider this country created the geisha and hostess clubs.
- They are domestic. Many past girlfriends of mine would clean my place and do my laundry for me without prompting. They don't expect any thanks or anything in return. It just the "normal thing" for girls to do.
- (Assuming you are young) They don't care about money. They tend to live at home with their family and get money from daddy so it's never really an issue.
- They leave you the sweetest little handwritten notes. This will make you glad you learned Japanese.
- They apologize for the smallest things
"I'm sorry. My period is today. Is it still OK if I sleep over?"
"I'm sorry I left your room in a mess yesterday. I will clean up next time"
"I'm sorry I didn't cook last night. What do you want me to make next week?"
- They expect you to cheat but that's OK because you are a man. Cover your tracks, don't rub it in their face and they are cool about it.
- They are undemanding on your time. I've dated many a J-girl who was cool with meeting 2-3 times a month. In the beginning, when I was stuck in my Western bubble I actually complained about this!
- They are modest. The girl I'm currently dating is an excellent cook but is always playing her abilities down or nitpicking something about the food that wasn't good. Meanwhile, I am typically struggling to keep a straight face.

I could go on and on but people probably wouldn't believe me. And yes, these are the typical "good" girls who generally don't speak English.

I think I need to start learning Japanese...
