Been doing Krav Maga for about 6 weeks now and today I forgot my MMA gloves. Thought only effect would be some torn skin on knuckles, didn't consider support gloves provide for fingers and joints.
Go in to grab partner, hear a loud POP. Long story short I have a boxers' fracture in a few places on my 5th metacarpal.
I searched and didn't find anything on diet/supplements or other tips on broken bone recovery. And since I trust RVF more than most docs I thought I'd see if anyone had any experiences or thoughts. My only one so far is to start pounding raw milk.
On the bright side I guess I can see what it's like to game with a cast on...
