Take, for example, a Canadian... they could work for the same US firm abroad without ever having to worry about US or Canadian tax. They could also spend up to 180 days in the US each year.
Now, there are some jobs which are only available to US citizens (military comes to mind), but for most Americans, the foreign tax rules are a burden.
