Being a good sprinter or jumper has more to do with body type than race. Things like long legs, high center of gravity, long achilles tendons, high calf attachments, large upper thigh/glutes give you a mechanical advantage. It's just that this body type tends to be more common in black guys. If you look at this picture of Steve Nash, you'll notice that his body type is much closer to Victor Oladipo than Michael Phelps or an olympic wrestler.
