One thing I've noticed in Eastern Europe is that girls guess my age way lower, I believe this is because the local guys general look older in their late 30's early 40's. So perhaps, if they were asked about it, the girls are not so open for a large age gap, but in person they believe you're much younger so it is not such an issue.
