I've been thinking lately that approaching is much like lifting weights, where repetition, consistency, and intensity of effort produce gains. Obviously, we don't tell people to work out "when they're in the mood" or "when it's convenient" when they're trying to get fit. We recommend a certain schedule of training that must be adhered to rigidly. In that spirit I thought it would be helpful if we decided on a healthy "routine" for people starting out or who want to increase their numbers. Setting numbered goals is a lot easier to follow and encourages action.
So what do you think is a good routine or goal to set for people trying to improve their game?
