It's like bicycle riders in cities. They demand "bicycle rights," to be treated fairly as "sharing the road" with cars--and are often granted those rights--but they continue to ride on the sidewalk, don't wear helmets, run through stop signs, ignore red lights, and zip between cars. All of these things are against the law for cars (and even bikes in most cities). And they do it because the cities have granted "bicycle rights" without "bicycle responsibilities." Meanwhile, unsuspecting drivers are held responsible if they injure an irresponsible bicyclist which, if they're not wearing helmets, is all the more likely to be fatal or serious.
You can't grant any group--whether that's women or men or bicycle riders--rights without the attendant responsibilities. That leads to abuse 100 percent of the time.
