Men shouldn't "need" the same violence shelters that women need.
. . .
No need for men shelters.
Right. The only room you'll be getting is a free ticket to the crowbar hotel if you so much as defend yourself.
What I don't understand is that you acknowledge that if the marriage got so far as the wife using physical violence against you, then there's no help for you, yet you're saying that there's no need for men's shelters.
Why shouldn't the wife take the dignified path of not being a bitch? Men pay the majority of the taxes, so why no men's shelters? Why hold men to a higher standard of conduct in the first place when so many of them are getting fucked over in the courtrooms?
Men are easy to throw under the bus when it comes to things like this, but getting fucked over in a court of law is pretty damn common as a man. I don't understand how you, as a married man, couldn't see why this would be necessary for some of the population.
I was saying that it's acceptable to grab the lady's hands and keep her from moving around. When i was younger, my mother tried to slap me. I threw up my left hand to block her hand.
I've been in a couple altercations with women before. I'll never hit them (chris brown vs rhianna) but i see no problem putting up and arm to block them. This is especially comical when a woman tries to slap you.
I'm not married either

Alas, part of my lessons learned in swallowing the red pill are learning how to hedge my bets against the scuzzy women of america. I can't change that, but i can shield myself from it.
I still feel pretty bad for the guy. Shit like that is unacceptable. Didn't mean to flame you guys up either with the men shelter comment. I've always been able to take a shitty situation and make something workable out of it. Even if my wife kicked the shit out of me, i wouldn't see the need for a shelter. I'd have enough resources to get a hotel room.
