Having gone through MANDATORY (for all executives, managers, principals and supervisors) diversity training a month ago, I agree with speakeasy completely. We sat in a circle, watch a play about discrimination, and to talk about instances when we witnessed racism and how we felt. Of the facilitator, 10 managers and regional administrator sitting there, only me and another guy challenged the premise that nothing has changed; that America is as racist as it has ever been. I finally asked the questions that were never answered (and never will be answered):
"When is victory acheived?"
"What does it look like?"
"How do we know when victory is achieved?"
"When can we move on from this?"
There is too much "diversity industry" to ever stop and be done. There are no answers to my questions.
For gay rights, It is not enough for their "church" (the State) and their "Pope" (the President) to declare this good....no, it will be about acceptance. That is why they need the blessing of the State, their church.
The next piece of legislation to be dropped into place is the anti-bullying laws. This crap is so general that anyone at any time is guilty of bullying. You cannot speak against something because you are a bully and offending someone. My local newspaper has already started small stories about how the LGBT COMMUNITY and their activists are co-opting this issue. It won't be about young Johnny being picked on at school...it will be about greensteelhead and speakeasy speaking out about the LGBT community and their tactics.
