On the other hand, the first time I started seeing the word "harem" in connection with game wasn't by players themselves, rather meta-commentary about sexual market dynamics post-sexual-revolution. The term was "soft harem" to distinguish from the classic harem, and the focus was on the consequences for beta males and females looking for commitment from alphas.
