Interesting. I found it out as well that pretty much every comment on those article basically screams "I have no life, so all I do is bitching about everything".
There are also some hilarious comments regarding poor Cambodian girls locked up and forced to be sex slaves for American tourists (which, of course, is bullshit). I recently had a discussion in a bar about it with a girl, who expressed her sincere concerns once I mentioned I just got back from Thailand. I didn't really understand that; if you're serious about making the world better, why don't you just look around? No need to go to Cambodia, right here in Bay Area there is a lot of poor women who would use an extra helping hand. So I asked her how much she volunteers in homeless/abuse shelters, and of course she did not. Hilarious.
