If you don't have a choice and need to stay in Delta, then I would drive to one of the Richmond skytrain stations (Bridgeport where the Casino is), park your car (free). And skytrain to downtown Vancouver. Get off at either Yaletown station or Vancouver Centre station and you are in the middle of the action my friend.
