So in practice, I'll generally make 2 quick judgments: "try to bang or don't try to bang" (binary scale), then if they fall into the "try to bang" category I'll decide if I want to ratchet down the asshole game or not (which can be based on the vibe a girl is putting out as well as her looks--a bitchy 5 or 6 probably needs just as much teasing as a hotter girl). I know this goes somewhat against the conventional wisdom of "don't change your game for hotter girls or you'll subconsciously overvalue them" but my experience is that to some degree you do have to calibrate.

This is the method i use as well.

I don't assign exact numerical ratings when I'm "in the field" (i often will later) but I think good game requires you to adjust your tactics based on whether the girl is more of less hot. Otherwise you will blow it by overgaming or undergaming
