There are three kinds of 3 button suits - a true 3 button, a 2 and a half button, and a 3 rolled to 2. See http://www.styleforum.net/t/20448/3-butt...ost_269289 for examples. Those pictures are (probably intentionally) cheesy.
I like the two and a half button, especially when paired with a beautiful lapel roll.
