I'm sure there is some sort of idealization in this idea. My grandparents are relatively wealthy but my grandpa worked 70h per week while my grandma was also working.
Is there any strong evidence that everything was so easy in the past? Maybe some autobiographic material... I liked the book "An American in the making, the life story of an immigrant", where a 16yo Romanian guy goes to the USA in early 1900s. He shares his stories about employments, education etc... nothing about women tho.

At least it attracted interesting men, instead of incels and PUA scammers. But is the travel info that special? Some men actually went abroad and found wives. If anyone thinks the forum is worth saving, then maybe they should make a post with links to the best content.
There's a lot of interesting posts by The Fantasist, who surely was bald & bankrupt.
