0 reasons why San Francisco sucks

I'm a California native, lived there most of my life, traveled damn near all over the state.
What hurts me the most are the many pockets and enclaves of normal people just trying to enjoy what is last of the state. The state and my hometown are completely gone, completely different than what I grew up with. But I see little remnants here and there in the pockets, and it's incredibly sad.
I too, don't want to wake up and listen to a giant populace outraged by Trump, trying to shove LGBTQORLJF culture down my throat, holding me hostage for my beliefs and politics. I don't want to live in a place inhabited by obese landwhales with purple hair and tattoos on 50%+ of their body. The people that I care about that still live there are struggling more than ever and they just can't be helped, they don't understand why things have gotten worse and they won't listen to me or hear the message.
I realized at some point in my last year or two there, and especially after moving away, that there's a certain level of adaptation that happens. People just get used to the degeneracy and shitty quality of life and think, "This is just how it is" because they haven't experienced anything better.
I used to joke about how much it would take for me to move back, and I usually settled on something like $250,000/year. Even then, I would not. Hell even if I was truly "fuck you" rich I don't think I could live in either SF or LA. The culture of chasing status is just too overwhelming and stressful. You can say that multimillionaires there have access to the hottest women on Earth, but one reaches a point where that is a pathetic excuse to live anywhere. Myself, I love the dining and wine scene in California, but even that has gotten infected with the most ridiculous politics. I can't take a 5 day trip to Sonoma to enjoy some world class food and wine without hearing some fuckwit politics about how evil Trump is and how they're gonna save the world with sustainable farming and solar energy.
