Are you saying that you’ve tested both (pro photos and your normal pics), and that your normal pics outperformed your professional photos?

Unless you’ve tried both, while controlling for all other variables, it doesn’t sound as if this was a conclusion based upon any empiricism. While there’s nothing inherently wrong in having a bias against the use of professional photos, it would help to know if you just arbitrarily preferred your normal photos as a conscientious objector to what you perceive as being try-hard, or if it was the girls and their response (or non-response) to one over the other that gave you clarity on the issue.
