After a more thoughtful read of the article I would say this is not entirely her doing. Someone is reaching out to all the claims against CR7, (and others probably) in order to find some dirt and make some $$$.
I would bet the lawyers are behind it: «First, she has a new lawyer, one who is both experienced and unflinching.»
The reasons:

This third reason is the rub of the issue, i'm sure. They would like to make a grand case and instead of a $375,000 settlement, score some millions out of this.
