Price tag on a Cirrus is north of $600k so that's a serious barrier to entry for the safest of the light planes; it's a high-tech piece of work though. On the other hand, any chump can scrape together $75k for an old Cessna. My buddy used to work at an FBO and he had a few tales about those weekend warriors...
