TL;DR:
Women are very attractive in Charlotte, though not very Southern due to a lot of transplants. With manageable competition, good infrastructure, pleasant environment, and a diversified economy, while not as good as Dallas, Charlotte would be a good choice for gaming and working on creating a location independent lifestyle.
Introduction:
I went to Charlotte Eater weekend of 2017.
Girls are very attractive in Charlotte, with pretty faces and OK to good attitudes. There is competition but it looks like it can be managed. It has a very diverse economy from banking to manufacturing, making it look like a good place to establish oneself financially and look into making oneself location independent. As well, much of the city is very pleasant, with a well built and maintained central business district and leafy green residential neighborhoods. It has probably the mildest climate for the USA east of the Rockies.
Let's get to the part everyone wants to read.
Girls:
Physical:
Charlotte women are very attractive. While the top ones did not match the top of Nashville, the average ones slightly exceeded Nashville's. The white ones are noticeably more attractive than white girls from Atlanta.
I don't really recall bumping into many black women, so I cannot really comment on that.
Attitudes:
If you're looking for Southern Belle attitude, you're not going to find it in the city. There are a lot of transplants. That being said, I did not find it bad and got a couple of IOIs, though I got no where near the number of IOIs that I got in Dallas.
Competition:
There is definitely significant competition there. While not as bad as Nashville, it actually felt worse than Pittsburgh.
Where to find the girls:
Uptown:
Charlotte does not call its central business district downtown. They call it uptown, which can be a bit confusing at first since in most US cities have a downtown before they have an uptown.
There is a very large nightlife complex there called the Epicenter. There was definitely a lot of quality talent when I went.
As well, there are bars and restaurants throughout uptown worth checking out.
The light rail going South West from downtown:
There is a light rail that goes from uptown to the Southwest neighborhoods of Charlotte. It looks recently gentrified and has quite a few bars and restaurants. On a weekend night, there is definitely quite a bit of talent there. However, it struck me as a bit empty during the day.
Thompson Park shopping area:
This is just south east of uptown. It has a Target and Trader Joes. There was definitely some talent there and struck me as a good place to day game. I got one of my best openers there.
Queens University:
It is not to be mistaken for Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, one of the birthplaces of game 1.0 and maybe the worst small city/large town for guys in North America (think a miniature Toronto crossed with Ithaca, New York and West Point).
Charlotte's Queens University is in a wealthy residential neighborhood a few miles south from uptown. Unfortunately, I was there Easter Weekend so the place was pretty empty, but the few girls I saw indicated that it might be a good place to day game.
Southpark Mall:
This a large and high end mall south of uptown, further away than Queens University.
I visited the mall on a Saturday to see if it might be a good place to day game. At least when I was there, I wasn't terribly impressed by the talent.
Boring but Important Stuff:
Getting There:
Flying:
Charlotte has one of busiest airports in the world with direct flights to most if not all major US airports. It has a few flights to Europe.
However, due to a merger between US Air and American Airlines, it is almost utterly dominated by American Airlines. I have never seen an airport so completely served by one airline. I was able to fly out with Southwest, but I suspect flying from many destinations will be expensive due to lack of competition.
As well, the airport has poor connections to the city. While a major highway and a railway from Uptown go directly by it, it has neither a proper auxiliary highway nor rail service to the terminal. I suspect that the traffic can be really bad at times.
There is a bus (5) that goes to and from uptown. I did not use it, so I do not know how good it is.
Driving:
Many highways intersect at Charlotte. North Carolina has some of the highest quality highways in the United States. I can say from experience driving a BMW is a real treat on NC interstates.
Parking did not seem to be any more difficult that it would be in a typically large American city. While it has heavy traffic as any big city would, it is much better than Atlanta or Washington, DC.
Train:
If you are coming from the NE Corridor, there is actually a very nice train called the Carolinian. It leaves from DC between 10 AM and 11 AM daily and arrives in Charlotte in the late evening. As well, there is a local train, the Piedmont, that runs several times per day between the Research Triangle and Charlotte. If you have a hotspot with unlimited data, you can get a lot of work done while traveling, which is difficult on a plane and impossible by car. There is also a train called the Crescent, but it arrives in the middle of the night.
Where to stay:
Uptown:
There are many hotels to stay that are very reasonably priced for a major American city. Uptown will by far provide you with the best logistics.
Getting Around:
Uber:
Uber was very affordable in Charlotte. I would recommend using it.
Public Transportation:
If you are going to party in the light rail neighborhood I mentioned, the Light rail is a good way to get there. I did not take any buses, so I cannot speak for their quality.
Should you go?
Should you go to game?
If you live within driving distance or can score a cheap plane ticket, yes. The women are definitely of high quality with reasonable if not great attitudes. While there is competition, it did not strike me as especially bad.
Should you move there?
If you can get a job that pays enough to cover the cost of living, yes. Charlotte has a diverse economy and looks like a good place for establishing a career and working on becoming location independent. In addition, it has maybe the best climate of any city in the USA east of the Rockies. Unless you are determined to pursue gaming in other cities and countries with frequent flying, I would pick Charlotte over Atlanta though not Dallas.
Conclusion:
Charlotte girls are very physically attractive with decent to good attitudes. While there is competition, it looks like it can be dealt with. It's is definitely worth considering visiting and even moving there due to its diverse economy, pleasant layout, and very nice weather.
