I came back last Monday from a business trip to Mogilev which is in the east of Belarus. The prices there are as in the other provincial cities that I have been to (Polotsk, Grodno, Brest) are 20-40% lower than in Minsk. I stayed in a 3 star hotel in Mogilev for $20 a night, full board.
That said, I liked Mogilev. It maybe a dusty city with some nice parks but weekends are lively with packed cafes and bars. I got good reaction from the local dyevs and am in regular contact with a 7. Not bad for a couple of days' work.
