I'm currently in the Philippines, and you can get a house here for 50 bucks a month out in farm land, and a furnished monthly apartment for 200 bucks, or a regular apartment for about 50 bucks. I was just wondering what the "second world" tends to go for when you get outside of 1st tier cities.

I know the Croatian coast is more desirable. Anybody know anything about slavic cities near the german/austrian border? The middle of poland? Near Lviv, Ukraine?


It's possible outside of Lviv, Lviv itself is mostly apartments.

I think in Croatia it would have to be a real shithole if it's anywhere near the coast.

Croatia's a pretty boring place outside high season. Serbia is much better, you can get something in Serbia for that money, on the outskirts of a second tier city perhaps.
