The reality is when people behave in an ignorant and inconsiderate way that violates others freedoms while only thinking of their own you get a police state.

Are you freakin' serious? You get beaned in the head. Or you get smoke in your face. But you don't get a police state. You get a police state when people get used to so many inane laws that they grow numb and apathetic. When they want the nanny state to take care of them from cradle to grave. To tell them when they can throw a football and when they cannot. I'd rather get beaned by a football, punch someone out, and get arrested and jailed for a night (like our fathers and grandfathers) -- because I'll still be far more free than the alternative.

When you get a conviction for assault you basically will never get hired in any professional career. No one should have to go to prison because someone violated their rights and the government refused to enforce or protect their rights. if someone wants to play football, I'm all for it, do it on a open empty field that was designed for that purpose, don't do it at the mall or at the beach and complain you have no freedom when people ask that your idiotic behaviour be banned. if I get hit in the head by a football on the beach not only can sue the idiot who threw it but I can sue the city for making an unsafe environment, they have a duty to protect people from dangerous people.
