I know a little about this, but please take it with a grain of salt. I'm in the same age group as you, and have still smashed a few in the 18-early 20s range post 30.
1 - Don't take this shit personal. Unless girls are digging you, especially in this age range, you are an object to them. They are clueless about value because they've been sheltered from responsibility for their entire lives at this stage. This flaking is not personal.
2 - I suggest not being the older guy that brings liquor or other substances into these girls' grasps until you've already smashed. Too many chances here, too many legal lines, it isn't worth it. If you can't smash them sober, it's probably not a good idea. Most of my bangs in this age range were while I was drinking 0 alcohol for a year.
3 - Utilize the venue bounce more. For young girls like this, you have to hijack them from their friends, isolate, and get them hooked on you as a person. You will be judged by their friends, harshly. If their friends all like you, it may work, but good luck isolating them. If you get their number, hopefully you have an interesting hobby and a way to show it or gradually bring it into conversation, and how "you should come by my place and check out this album/art/whatever" AFTER you have successfully bounced them from a cafe to a walk in the park to somewhere else. You have to make sure that they're into you. This can be difficult to tell.
4- You may be surprised by what happens. Obviously, you want to smash, but I've noticed a strong bimodality with these girls. Some of them will latch on hard afterward, some of them will ghost you afterward and be apathetic. It's like post-college girls but more flighty. Chalk it up to experience, and realize that either a) it's a vibe you're putting off that they're not digging, and try to fix it or b) it's not personal and they're just flaky in general. Generally, they're sweeter, but I'm still surprised by how quickly girls like this will fuck you eagerly then flip like a lightswitch and pull attachment immediately away.
Just keep in mind, you're dealing with a human that has likely never had any real challenges, victories, or responsibilities when they're 18 nowadays. So, they don't understand and can't figure out what to think about you being older. They may not find it exciting (like you would like). Some girls have some life experience, likely don't live in the city, and have had some responsibility. Those are far more open to being with an older guy, at least in my experience. Other posters may have more thoughts on this, but that's been what I've seen.
