One room there is like a studio apartment here in the US. You sleep in the living area but separate kitchen and bath.

Yeah, I was pretty happy with the $550 since it was an updated flat just like we would get in the west. Summer time you will see higher prices in a city like Odessa. It was cheaper because I was staying a year. I think she got a lot more for the summer months.

I have no idea about renting rooms if that is what you meant.

My info on pricing is outdated by about 4 years. I know prices increased after I left due to inflation. Also the exchange rate increased in our favor.

This also wasn't downtown. I had to take a bus to the main area which wasn't a big deal. Still nice to walk to the beaches during the summer. Man I am starting to miss that place.

Summer was great. A beer tent opened up on every corner. haha
