Agreed. I got bored of CM after about 4 days. It's a really small town.
Chiang Mai is way bigger than it feels on a few day stay. I remember when I first got there I looked around, shaking my head while wondering what the big deal was. It takes about 2 weeks for you to really start feeling what is so great about it, and then you get addicted. I lived there about 3 years and in the end I was still finding tucked away clubs and trendy restaurants I never knew existed.
