Whether or not NASA test pilot is a fraud or is plagiarizing his essays is a separate issue from allowing a guy who just signed up this month to kick start this brouhaha.

Further, I know far too many guys are just licking their chops to see some guy "exposed" for being a fraud. There are too many guys who love to see others beaten and caned in public.

Anyways, without a rebuttal from NASA, I'm not sure this thread can go much of anywhere.

The truth is the truth, regardless of who's delivering the message. The evidence presented is extremely damning, in my opinion. If a random guy walked up and handed you a videotape (or emailed you a link to a video) of your beloved wife fucking another guy, are you going to be mad at him or at her? He was simply the bearer of bad news. He wasn't the one who betrayed and deceived you. In this case, AboveAverageJoe may not be a well-known or established forum member, but he has demonstrated his good will by risking his personal popularity to call out a highly repped member in order to preserve the integrity of the forum. Additionally, and perhaps most importantly, he did so by presenting near irrefutable evidence to support his claim. Evidence. That's the difference between someone who is just hating on another poster for whatever reason and someone acting in the best interests of the forum as a whole. It's not enough to just say, "I don't believe this guy is legit." You've got to make a strong case and present evidence for why the guy is not legit. If you can do that, I don't care who you are or how many posts/rep you have. The truth and the integrity of the forum is what's most important.
