Only reason I dont pull an ass every night is due to my own lack of game and initiative. imo No reason why someone cant meet a female during the day, kiss close her and seal the deal at night. And there is no reason you shouldnt get a ONS as long as you are not restricting yourself to only dimes.

Before touching down in a city I already know EVERY main / best spot and on which nights.

When I enter into a club I case it and make about 3 rounds. Carefully observing the chicas and looking for IOI's and assigning priority. If in the first 20-30 minutes im not getting IOI's or there simply isnt that many available females I will leave and go to the next spot on the list. That almost never happens. After formulating my plan of attack I start to approach the chicks if they havent approached me already by the order I assigned. I try to get a feel for how DTF they are fairly quickly as time is a precious commodity when you are only in a city for 1-2 days. Usually by 2am I will have a female I know is DTF already in the bag. And if for some reason there is no club or bar to go to or I just completely struck out I got the strip clubs on deck as a fall back.

This strategy works me for at a VERY HIGH rate. You have some points about staying in a city but when it comes to SNLs and ONS I dont think they are as important as you think.

IF I dont pull on my packed itinerary trips I wouldnt attribute it to only being in the city for a short time. (Ive havent not pulled yet on any of my trips)

It would just be a matter of me stepping my game up.
