Because he is standing up for women who don't actually deserve it. He comes to their defense because they are women, whether they actually deserve said defense or not. He does not seem to care whether they are right or wrong-if they have a vagina, he'll stand up for them no matter what type of shit they pull.
That is a white knight. One can be kind and vulnerable, btw, without being a white knight.
