My dad never helped me much at all with game. My dad was pretty much the archetype of the beta provider. What advice he did give me was really outdated and not helpful for a teenager growing up in the 90s. He was never very good with women himself. I'd be surprised if he slept with more than several women in his life. He never threw me out there in the field and made me talk to girls to get over my shyness. If he had done that my whole life might have been different. Every now and then he would ask if I had a girlfriend. I would say "no" he'd say, "still not yet???" and that'd be the extend of it. I was pretty much on my own to try and figure shit out. The explosion of game material online didn't start until I was already in my mid 20s.
