This reminds me of my perennially friend zoned buddy. He had a massive falling-out with another guy in the social circle who started dating a girl, because he was one month into enacting a "six month plan" on her. This involved taking her out to dinner, coffee, cinema trips, theatre trips, platonic hang-out sessions.
The hilarious thing was that this guy had everything going for him. Tall, handsome, rich and sociable. Pretty much all girls fancied him when they first met him, but he always ended up getting friend zoned by women way below his SMV. Game deniers should seriously meet this guy; he's like the anti-PUA.
I must have told him that attraction comes before comfort ten times, and yet he still didn't believe me and said he needed to feel a "connection" with them first.
