If you were to go to Croatia - I would only recommend you hit Zagreb. Another interesting anecdote.... of the 59 messages I sent to separate girls on Couchsurfing in Bucharest - I received 42 replies. That's a tremendous response rate.... My message was very non-agressive... just stated that I was visiting their city for the first time and would like to learn more about the culture and the people - so would they be available on (insert day here) afternoon to meetup for a coffee or drink.

Being an American actually gets you quite far in Romania and Bulgaria - much moreso than any other country I've visited.

Met two Romanian dudes in a gym in London, they fit your description to a T. When I asked about there country and women, the one guy replied straightfaced "our women are the country's best asset". Trust me the men know how good they have it, those two dudes were only working in London for a bit and could not wait to return.
I have known about this place for awhile, met a few sexy "dancers" from Romania who said great things about the country. They actually seemed depressed in Canada but stayed for the money.

Bucharest in july is prime hunting season, dude. It's a cafe culture and the Lipscani area is just teaming with chicks sitting outside in sets of 2, 3 and 4. It's fertile hunting grounds. If you have enough time, there are several trains that head east to the beach towns, about 5 hours from Bucharest. I haven't heard anything about Constanta, so I can't add anything there.

I'm glad you guys are finding this helpful. I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to add anything of value to this highly esteemed group of sexpats, but I'm glad I can help in some small way.

First of all, thanks a lot for a great report on Bucharest. I've had that place in my radar for a long time and I have met some stunning girls from Romania. When I was in the Philippines, I met a german guy, in his 40's who worked and is now working again in Romania and he showed me a ton of pictures of very hot 18-20 year old girlfriends. I couldn't believe the amount and the calibre of girls that this older guy was pulling. I'm now seriously thinking of going there maybe next year when I return from Asia.
Did you feel any hostility towards you from the men as you were hitting the local women?

You're welcome - I'm glad I can contribute - god knows I learned a lot from reading this forum over the last few months. Anyways, the guys are not hostile at all - they just seem so disinterested, but then maybe it's my conversational approach, I don't know for sure. The opposite of Romania would be Turkey, BTW. I don't recommend that anyone visit Turkey and have any reasonable expectation to get any ass. The Turkish dudes are the biggest f-in cock blocks I have ever witnessed. I'll save that write-up for another post.

Anyways, the Romanian guys will not bother you if you hit on their women, I think they expect to lose to foreigners, seriously.

It only looks that way because a lot of Romanian men go abroad to work because of poor job prospects in their own country. They go and work as migrant labourers in France, Spain, Italy etc. Many of them even come to Canada to work on the farms here.

In Bulgaria, for example, girls always roll in groups of 2-3 at least, and at the clubs it's even groups of 7-8 or so, due to the bottle service phenomenon. Almost all better clubs now have "reserved" tables only so if you want a spot you have to buy a bottle, and obviously two girls are not going to drink a whole bottle so they team up with friends (and often guys so they can pick up the tab). The good thing is things are pretty cheap in Bulgaria, including bottle service.

Re: Black Sea resorts in Romania, they are no good. Best one is Mamaia, Constantia is just a port/industrial city. Most Romanians drive down to Bulgaria in the resorts around Varna (just 100km or so from Romania) or around Sunny Beach (a further 100km down the coast). Sea water is noticeably colder in Romania, beaches are not as nice, not many good hotels, etc. Of course, people with more money go to Croatia, Turkey, etc. but Bulgaria is the closest and cheapest beach destination for Romania.

Okay, that explains it more or less. Dude, if you're really 6'4 athletic blond, I'm sure you can do better than that. I do better than that, and I'm 5'4 dark hair and I suck on group approaches. Now my standards for ONS are fairly low, but I wouldn't fuck any of them even in Bay Area. Bucharest is full of beautiful chicks, but the online game sucks here as the quality is much worse comparing to what you can meet on the streets. I can second that, here in Romania it is very rare to see a single Romanian girl going out alone. This is part of culture, people go out to have fun with their friends, not to hook up with someone. Sure hook ups are possible and happen, but this is not why they go out. A girl alone in a bar in Bucharest is usually a tourist. Partly this is because of the reason K-Man mentioned - such actions are typically associated with whores, and even though there seem to be no street prostitution anymore, at least in Lipscani/Old Town area (only fugly gypsies would approach you for sex, but they will not be let in a bar), such action is still associated with whoring. Same is about bringing a girl into your hotel room - if you're staying in a hotel, it gonna be VERY difficult to bring her in comparing to if you rented an apartment.

On the other side I'm not 6'4 blond, and there are very few of them here in Bucharest, so things might work different for him. And I can second that "Do you speak English" opener works very well here.

As I said, I gonna write my Bucharest review later as I'm still trying some strategies and there are other places to see. However it is worth pointing out that if you didn't get top girls in US, you won't get top girls here - although those you'd get here would be better looking comparing to US. And you must be good in group approaching, or you'll go nowhere - this is the main thing which holds me back here.

I've been to Mamaia a week ago. Tourist season hasn't started yet, but there is a lot of opportunities if your beach game is good. To clarify - the girls I met were alone, but they were waiting for their girlfriends. Both of them arrived a few minutes early and I saw they were sitting alone so I engaged. You made me laugh when you said quasi-prostitute... isn't being a prostitute an all or nothing thing? Or would you consider a Ukraining mail order bride to be a quasi?

I also heard that Varna is the place to go for beach action. I know many of the more wealthy Romanians head down to the southern and western coasts of Turkey. However, I do not recommend that anyone on this forum go to Turkey - it is hell and the dudes are complete assholes and will cock block you at every turn.
