Medellin almost impossible for foreigners

Both my friend and I met some very sexy girls in Medellín in my month long stay there without really any snags. This is both via club game and daygame. (We stayed in Poblado.)
Our joint experience was that Paisas appreciate a well groomed white guy, who is direct (very important) and charming and has some basic Spanish chops.
I used zero 'indirect game' there. Just well-contained but raw sexual intent.
Also, my buddy was taking a Spanish class at the University there, which was really cheap. And he got to use their excellent gym, not to mention there were hordes of hotties running around, two of whom he brought home. Also, OKCupid works pretty well there (his experience, I didn't bother with online in Colombia).

My best advice to break away from being just another gringo: submerge yourself in the culture, make lots of local friends, and know the language. In brazil this is what I did and it made it so much easier to meet quality local girls. In Colombia i wasn't so lucky and it made it more difficult as a result.

Paisa girls, on average, are so stupid and full of shit. I can't stand their "hot potatoes in the mouth" accent. Paisas in general are full of themselves and the only thing they repeat like a mantra all day long is: Medellin is the best (they never travelled anywhere else usually, except to Bogotá that they absolutely hate)
Also it seems that finding a paisa (or more widely, a colombiana for that matter) without siliconed boobs, lipoplastry, rhinoplastry, ect is nearly impossible. Obviously, many guys here don't care but I guess that it's nonetheless a huge turn-off for some others. Personally, natural beauty is what turns my crank, that is why I'll stick to FSU.
Those Cali gorgones on your pic are disgusting

It is a no brainer for me...Bogota in my humble opinion is the best of the 3 major cities. (Medellin, Cali & Bogota) You just have way more options in a city of 8 million people, full of nightlife, art, music, over 100 colleges and Universities, chicas coming and going daily from every city and pueblo in Colombia, not to mention cuisine from all over the world. Yeah pollution and weather are the negatives, but I would be bored beyond bored in any other city after a week....for instance this weekend I am taking a $115 flight into Medellin for the wknd...party my ass off with friends, enjoy the beauty of the place, then get the fuck out!!! To each there own, but I love that Bogota gets second or third billing amongst expats/travellers......

Colombia's easy if you're white, if you speak Spanish, AND if you can dance salsa & reggaeton. Dancing is a huge part of the courtship ritual here and you'd be better off having advanced dancing skills and average Spanish than the other way around.
Bogota's a tough city to live in but I love it.
It's not for everyone and if you can't get quality at home you probably won't get it here either.

^my god post of the day times 90000x
You already know my plan, we only met briefly but god damn inspired to get that F-you money in the next few years.
Also looking young is a negative in Colombia btw, if you look young like me (I look 21) just go and bang 18 year olds over in lower end clubs.
The hot ones want an established man from what I saw. So if you want high quality get your cash flow set and move along.
I wasn't in Colombia long but guys just don't "get it". You use money to get her out and party all the time. If you are the source of cash flow lots of girls will want to go out with you simply to party. Even if you don't bang all of them, word will get around that you're doing okay and you're a "good guy to know" then just funnel it along.
I am no expert but I can see how things work. You guys should take notes from Wedo.
Actually @wedo what would you do knowing your knowledge 20 years ago? Assuming you could go back in time.

Since experience varies by profile here's a bit about me: late 20's, white, upper intermediate Spanish, average looking, well dressed, alright dancer- better than most Colombians but not Fred Astaire. I live in the historical center which is considered either middle class, cool, or dangerous depending on the kind of chick I'm talking to. My money situation is decent but not baller- I can afford to pay for a girl's drinks on a night out, taxis and that shit, but I'm not fine dining and ordering bottles for the group or anything. Not being cheap (tacaño) is crucial in my experience.
I also neglected to mention that I only chase 7's and the occasional 8 from estratos 4 & 5. The 6's and sometimes 7's will find me, very little chasing required. I enjoy fucking an enthusiastic 6 or 7 who doesn't make me work so that is usually what I get but sometimes I can get more.
Also my personality is introverted and I like the sweet-n'-shy girls. Frankly I don't have the wealth, the desire, nor the stones to pull the super hot ones.
For what it's all worth.

Leaving the country for better pussy actually makes a lot of sense. If a guy is a 5 or 4 in the face in the USA, he will be stuck mostly with average chicks. Average us chick is a fat hog. All the above avg guys fight for the fit and slim chicks. Not many left over for the avg or below avg guy. A slim girl with a dog face is still hot but since girls prioritize face more, you can have a dog face guy with acgood body struggling.
Now that same guy goes overseas SEA ,la or EE and he automatically jumps to a 6. But more important is the average chick is actually bangeable. A Russian 5 is attractive. So the guy went from a 4 to a 6 just by leaving media influenced America. That newly minted 6 can now easily get a 6 and with good game go 2 points up to a 8. Atleast 7 no problem. That's is a pretty nice bang for someone who was a 4!

What exactly can you do in Bogota you couldnt do else where? I am talking about day to day life. Most young guys are not wanting to hit up museums when they go to Colombia etc.
The only plus for me I could potentially see with Bogota is a jumping mid week nightlife / club scene which I am not even sure exists. (never been to Bogota)

One night when I was getting ready to go out....I asked him when his date was going to show....he says she isn't coming.....I say why not....he says she wants me to pay the taxis....I say "so"...he says well she lives in the south and it is 20 mill....I say "so"....he says well thats another 20 mill to get her home.
Why didnt the guy just text another girl? Shouldnt have been a problem.

I think I can answer your question on the dating scene.
To be honest it's not anywhere near as bad as people here make it seem. The issue is quality is just lower relative to the headaches, I am certainly not quitting my job to move to SA just to bang a point or two higher. That would be a recipie for disaster. If you're shooting blanks in the states you're obviously shooting blanks in SA.
I have a decent looking girl around but I know I can scale up by leaving, that's the real draw of it.
In short the reason I want to leave to SA:
1. Can go up a point or two
2. I like Latin culture (been around SA many times)
3. I prefer Latin girls
The downside is there is no cash flow down there, again I would never choose a woman over money. That's just dumb.
There really aren't too many issues in the states mostly just complainers, but it is true foreign girls are better.
That's a bit of a rant but TL;DR foreign chicks are better and most guys are making the huge mistake of choosing to leave too early.
I have to earn the right to leave, but this forum is just the inspiration for that.
** should also make it obvious there are next to no Latinas where I live, trying to fix that situation in the states right now as well **

From your comments I can tell you have never been here....come for a week and see for yourself....first of all, it would be impossible for me to hit all the various bars and clubs in this city...it's that massive......away from nightlife every sunday the city organizes one of the best bicycling events in the world called Ciclovía...they close down over 70 miles of city streets to cars so cyclists, skateboarders, runners you name it... can roam all over the city free of cars, there are bands, street performers, aerobics classes, street food, and tons of hot chicas roller blading, running and biking all over it goes from 7am-2pm every sunday and national holiday it's packed full of people and a great way to get over a hangover and meet girls away from the nightlife.
There are 2 professional soccer teams, massive rock/hip hop fests (rocka en el Parque free 3 day concert in July with over 250,000 people), food festivals, art festivals, neighborhood parties, big corporate sponsored events full of hot women, Bogota is the financial captial of Colombia so tons of businesses everyday on the streets you are surrounded by gorgeous women dressed to the nines....if it's a big name international musical act it is usually gonna be in Bogota.....there is a big music scene here and I dont just mean salsa and reggaeton, so you can find rock, jazz, hip-hop, heavy metal venues.....for me you can usually find something to get into almost every night of the week, in the other cities of Colombia it was normally a weekend nightlife centered around salsa clubs, discos and reggaeton (which I like but I want to have options) ....there are gyms on every block, dance schools, high end to low end shopping, golf courses, language exchange groups, hiking and biking clubs, swinger clubs, punk rock lesbian clubs, massage parlors, great fincas less than 2 hour drive out of the city either in the mountains or down in the hot country, tons of cafes and restraunts, one section of the city Zona G is dedicated just to high end restraunts, pubs, and lounges....then there is Zona Rosa/Parque 93/Usaqueen...I could go on and on.....trust me....it's a city with a great pulse.
I don't have anything against the other cities but Bogota to me has a lot more to offer....to some it's not their thing a big dirty city, but to me it's got a great vibe...in the other cities of Colombia it was just to slow for me to enjoy on a day to day lifestyle....hope that helps...someday I will get around to writing up a decent updated Bogota sheet....
